Since I watched this video I started my diet… I’ve never been an “exercise girl”, but now, everytime I don’t feel like doing exercise I think: come on! Jinah says that if I do it then I’ll feel proud of myself! And it’s sooo true!! You’re such a role model for me! THANK YOU!

8:48 thank you!!!!! So many girls think that if they use free weights greater than 5 lbs they will bulk up, which is not true. Thanks for shedding some light :)

And I was talking with a doctor at the gym today, and he said that you should always do strength training first because then when you do cardio, your body is still in muscle mode and will burn more calories and tone up faster. If you do cardio first your body “panics” and you might actually lose some lean tissue.

I would love a support group! I lost 15 lbs in a month and a half. Got so depressed recently and gained it all back within 5 days :*( I am determined to lose the weight once again even if I wasted all that effort exercising and eating right. Great video, Jinah. It was a real motivator/wake-up call for me.

@jinahchae oops sorry you just said that. I get a bit overly excited when it comes ti sharing weight loss and workout tips. I’ve recenyly 10 lbs in a month. It’s been great but HARD WORK! Wouldn’t have it any other way though..

@jinahchae Good idea to let your body rest. Another thing you can try if you miss working out is to switch up your workout. Example: Mondays work Legs and back, Tuesday: work shoulders and arms, Wed: hardcore cardio and abs, etc. that way your body will have a day to rest but your still getting your workout on. this is what works for me. Called muscle confusion. I’ve been doing p90x,m turbo jam, and insanity from beachbody. they all work!

Do you use a heart rate monitor? I bought one and read up on heart rates. It is SUPER helpful. It even has a calorie burner. It will help you regulate your heart rate because different intensities you work out will give you diff results, example, pushing to your max is considered HIIT and you burn more calories from carbs whereas working out at lower intensity for longer time burns more calories from fat. :)

Jinah, you are such an inspiration. I am also in the same situation as you, and have had the same eating history etc. I have slacked off my gym and eating time and you have just helped me get back into it. It’s so hard but you help me realize it’s so worth it! Thank you a lot hun, keep up the great work and love your vids! :-)

@kashprincess17 noooo.. i workout 4-5 times a week.. i make sure my body can recover over the weekend before starting again.. i totally understand! i feel guilty over the weekends too!

jinahchae

July 7, 2010

@jstfCukit i typically ache on tuesdayys after my monday workout.. since my body is rested over the weekend.. but i try to stretchhh as much as i can to help with the soreness!

July 7, 2010

@vyvyanne i love you too!! :P
good question! i recommend wearing whateverrrr makes you feel comfortable.. as long as your body is getting enough air to cool off while you’re working out.. i don’t like to show much skin either.. so i typically wear a big airy v neck t shirt (from old navy.. the one i’m wearing in this video).. a sports bra.. and either leggings or running shorts!

@FREESPIRITGYAL noo problem! i’m the same.. by the middle of the week i just… wanna stop.. but you gotta keep pushing! :)
