Just water and some salt / spices usually. Every once in a while, we mix it up and toss some different veggies or onions in the mix, lol.

if you WEIGHT TRAIN , you can eat, ALMOST whatever you want gaining little to no weight depending on ur goal. muscle burns fat more than anything. while awake or asleep u will burn more fat if u weight trainied over cardio. of course combination of both is best results.

My family usually makes 2 cups of DRY rice for 5 of us in my family, and on that, we add about 2 tablespoons of oil.

@Soccer7SG -

Do you add oil to the rice?

Oh! Definitely 1 cup of cooked! Good, so I’m only eating one serving! lol

I’m not trying to say that meat-eaters are bad!! We all need to think about where our food comes from and how our choices impact the world around us. I know there is still a lot that I have to figure out…

i was referring to the dry weight percentage of protein:
from the USDA website
1 cup shredded iceburg=72 g, 69 g are from water leaving around 3 grams. 0.65 g protein per cup = around 22%
apparently that was not the best example, but i was just trying to get across a larger message: animal protein is not a necessary component of our diet. it is only present to satisfy the appetite of the more privileged of the world, at the expense of everyone and everything else.

The whole low gycemic, complex carb stuff is BS. I’ve was staying stagnant for years eating “complex carbs” and not getting any leaner while constantly working out. I’ve cut out almost all carbs except for 1-2 pieces of fruit a day and I’ve lost more body fat in the last 2 weeks than the last 2 years. Plus I’m eating as much food as I want.
