Hi, glandularmass’ reply to you is correct. Coconut oil is liquid above about 76 degrees and the water we wash with is well above that. You’re shampoo will simply wash it away. No worries :o)

I use coconut oil for my hair and skin. It’s a wonderful moisturizer for my face.

It won’t. If using soap when washing hair, it will emulsify the oil and carry it out. Also, the water temperature is generally warm enough to melt the coconut oil. Coconut oil melts at around 70*F.

I know this may sound nutty, but my brother thinks because coconut oil is a saturated fat and hardens when below a certain degrees it will clog the pipes up when you wash it out of your hair?
So my mother thinks it cannot be used to wash your hair with because the oil will go down the pipes and clog the drain?

Hi, I have a video up on anti-aging. I talk about products to use and tips fo prevent wrinkles. Please check it out when you have time. In the mean time, please remember to wear sunscreen because the sun causes premature aging and will make your lines worse.

Hi, coconut oil for your lips is wonderful!
January 7, 2010
Hello, I just turned 33 years old and I have been noticing wrinkles around my eyes. Very deep lines, what would you recommend?? Please advice!

Is coconut oil good for your lips too? My friend took a dollop of coconut oil, put food dye in it, and made “lip gloss”. I haven’t tried it yet so I’m asking if its okay.

Hi, do you mean the little scabs that you get from squeezing a pimple? If so, you just have to wait until the skin heals and they fall off. You can use a cover stick/concealer with salicylic acid to help hide it while it heals. the salicylic acid will help to speed healing by drying it up.

Hi
I’ve been watching your videos and think their great and helpful… Do you know of something for black spots on sking (like after touching pimples)??? Thanks!!!

Bread Machines are wonderful! I totally recommend you get one. I’ve had one for years and I love the breads I make with it. It’s so easy. My brand is no longer in business, but I’m sure there are lots of great ones out there. It is totally not cheating. You can make so many delicious varieties. My favorite was always Whole Wheat Prune believe it or not. I know that sounds funny, but it was delicious!

So, pure vegetable oil has actually been hydrogenated to have a longer shelf life? I had no idea. I try to stay away from hydrogenated oils! I have coconut oil in my pantry that’s left over from a recipe I tried. I think I’ll give it a try while I’m cooking something else. Thanks for the video! Oh! And I am very interested in making a whole wheat homemade bread. Could you post a vid for that? What is a good bread machine to buy? I know thats cheating, but I think it could save me some time.

it really works!!

I love jojoba oil on my face because it doesn’t clog pores and is extremely close to human sebum. Why not buy both and give them both a try. They are both excellent.
January 7, 2010
Hi, I recommend cooking with both actually because olive oil is wonderful in some dishes, like salads, tomato sauce, etc. and coconut oil is wonderful too either as a spread instead of margarine or butter or to saute and fry foods depending on what taste you want. So why not buy both! For your skin, again I love both coconut oil and jojoba oil. It kind of depends on whether you want something lighter or heavier on your skin. For severe dryness and nighttime use coconut oil is great.

Hi, thank you for your lovely compliment on my skin. I do try to take good care of it so I appreciate that. Coconut Oil has a much higher smoking point that olive oil and that make it excellent for frying. Coconut oil’s smoking point is 350 degress and Olive Oil’s is 210 degrees. Thanks so much for your comment :o)
