Welcome back!

www.therenegadehealthshow.com - I get a lot of questions about raw food… I feel that I’m extremely qualified to answer them to a certain degree, since we practice a high raw diet. But, I also know my limits… I can’t talk about how to succeed on a 100% raw food diet for an extended period of time because I’m not in that particular category. This show will speak specifically on the raw food diet, where to start, when I pass the torch and give some information about erroneous citations of …

I think it is fine to have hot soups. I think you have to listen to your body instead of following what others are doing :) I know an old man and his family is 75% raw and loving it, BUT I want to someday be 100% and started yesterday cuz I read about a woman who has gone back and forth and is now 100% because the cooked and baked were bad for her, she realised after a 40 hour birth. when she was raw it took 38 minutes with her first and last (4 kids in all)

eating a lot of raw food means you have lots of simple, easily digestible soluble fiber …. which is softer, and easier for the GIT to seperate.

How much fecal matter you produce depends on how much you eat, not how frequently.

@darkdragon … eat lots of fruit, lots of fiber, good nutrition, good “regularity”, easy to pass fecal matter

Meat and diary clog up the system, making gas and poor digestion

yea dude fiber helps shit pass out quicker, digestion is much improved, so some people say you should have a shit for every meal you eat, i shit like 2-3 times a day, but i eat like 4-5 so i dno, my shits are green

I like to eat my heaviest non-raw meal for lunch. So the salad would be for dinner.

i m jst starting the day with my bowl of porridge oats/not cooked and yogurt. is that raw food?? thx
to me 100% raw seems over the top, especially writing from a cold climate, where its nice to warmup with a hot (vegetable) soup in winter.

Thanks for this video, love going back and watching your older vids!! Great FUN

I didn’t realise your raw food %…I missed it though it doesn’t matter. You’re So right about being really inwardly centred on 100% raw, it really is a brilliant lifestyle and amazing for your health as I feel awesome and I’ve released 104lbs in 9months but Ive just got on the B12.
Love your videos. Love 2U both Blessings xxx

“Not eating enough calories”? Look up caloric restriction. It works for laboratory rats. Heard it’s good for us too, & feel it is good for me for sure too. Recall Christmas dinners past & the morbid feeling afterwards, merely from the quantity, quality aside. Sure maybe if you’re an athlete or embarking on a long trek. But best to temper, guage the amount per activity level.

i am like u, i eat about 90% raw. i steam some vegetables, and that accounts for the 10% cooked. some veggies i feel can’t be eaten raw, they must be at least slightly steamed.

wheatgrass juice is big with me. manually juiced not blended. no blending.

i love your videos Kevin, they are great. you know a lot and are very effective. keep up the great work and thanx for the info. by the way, i highly recommend “sick + tired” by Dr. Young. peace.

I just started a mostly raw diet yesterday. Just trying it out for a while to see how it feels. The only thing that worries me is getting enough b12, as someone in my family was temporarily paralyzed from b12 deficiency, but I used to eat plenty of meat and eggs so hopefully the b12 from those will last me.

I actually just started…yesterday. I’m not going to be 100% raw though. I still want beans & brown rice. From scratch of course because i don’t want any preservatives & sodium. I also have green fresh juices in morning. I was also wondering. i was thinking of getting a dehydrator but exactly how often do people use those on the raw food diet cuz i don’t want to buy something if it’s not going to be used to often.

You can get plenty of fat on a raw vegan diet. You just need to eat a balanced raw diet.
Raw nuts & seeds, avocado, coconut oil & many more raw foods have lots of good healthy fats.

You can get plenty of protein from a raw vegan diet.
Just two examples of higly digestable raw plant protein is spirulina and hemp powder or hemp seeds.

The Georgians live incredibly long…..mostly very rich soil good vegetable based diet. They are not necessarily vegetarian (very little meat), and they also drink vodka and smoke too! Other issues. Life is low stress, air is very clean, and the longevity cultures usually have a rich mineral source of water.

I’d love to try the raw diet, but in rural frigid areas where really fresh, high quality produce isn’t always available even if you can afford it, it seems undoable.
I’m high on raw intake during summer when my garden’s procucing. In winter I do some sprouting, but a lot of my food is canned or frozen. I don’t find dehydration suitable for much produce besides tomatoes…I’ve found dehydrading cookbooks very disappointing.

I reckon the food you eat should be very rich in water. cut out the dried fruits, and have lots of greens, sprouts, grated vegies, and blended fruits and vegies. personally I eat large mono meals of fruit if i can, 3 times a day and a large simple salad at night without much fat, just olives and avocado not any oils or nuts if i can help it. don’t mix fruits and nuts especially dried fruits. just what i’ve learned i havn’t got it perfect yet.
